Temperaments

Temperaments refer to the innate and enduring aspects of an individual's personality that influence their behavior, emotions, and attitudes. They are believed to be biologically based and can be categorized into four main types: melancholic, phlegmatic, sanguine, and choleric. While each person possesses all four temperaments, they do not have an equal impact on behavior. The primary temperament holds a greater influence on behavior than the other three, while the secondary modifies the primary temperament's tendencies in a significant manner. Understanding the different temperaments and how they blend or dominate in an individual can provide valuable insight into their personality and outlook.
